The Whisky:-
This expression has a mashbill of 59% un-malted Irish barley, 40% Irish malted barley and 1% oats, which is mixed with water from the Silent Valley in the Mourne Mountains, said to be some of the purest on the island of Ireland. It has been aged in 90% ex-bourbon casks and 10% Oloroso sherry butts.
The Distillery:-
Located a few miles south of Belfast, Hinch Distillery sits in the grounds of the Killaney Estate and and takes its name from the nearby town of Ballynahinch.
